Despite the heat, I plan to still lead my ride to Lenise’s Cafe tomorrow. Due to the heat I will not be sweep the short gravel route since the gravel sections are very exposed, but I will sweep the short road route. Last year, I lead this ride when it hit 107 and we were fine on the short road route which is mostly shaded except in parts of West Sac. Also, beware that the long road route is very exposed along Willow Point Rd and Jefferson Blvd, but it looks like it won’t get above 80 until after 10 am, so you might be OK. You’re welcome to do the gravel routes, just beware that those might be more exposed and you won’t be swept. Here are the RWGPS links for the various routes:
