SBH Ride Updates

The portion of the bike trail from Old Sac to mile marker three, nearly all of which is included in the return leg of tomorrow's route, is still closed, so I made a few modifications. Although the update is not in the club's RWGPS library, a printed route sheet will be available. However, the changes are minimal: Instead of turning right from Del Paso to join the trail into Discovery Park, the route will go left, cross Pipe's Bridge, turn right onto the still-open Two Rivers Trail and continue through Old Sac to Capitol Ave. (yes, the stretch from the end of Two Rivers to Old Sac is technically closed, but should be fine), at which point the original route will resume. Total ride distance is reduced by just half a mile.

  Note: The outbound leg takes the bike trail from CSUS to the Del Paso crossing, which itself actually is within the officially closed section by a few hundred yards--but, if needed, that short stretch is still passable via a brief section of the elevated levee path. Therefore the outbound route is unchanged.
