SBH Ride Updates

Winters Bakery to Brewery Ride Is On for Tomorrow

Looks like the weather will be perfect for a ride tomorrow from Winters to Vacaville and back. The temp is supposed to be around 65F at the start and 75F when we finish. The winds are supposed to be less than 5 mph. There are two routes with the only difference between them is out and back loops up to the top of Cantelow Rd from the east and west sides. If you’re not sure you can handle all the climbing on the long route, you can turn around and not go all the way to the top. Also, the way the long route is written, you do the east side going out and the west side coming back, but some people prefer to do both sides before the rest stop, by continuing down Cantelow Rd to Pleasant Valley Rd. and come back. That’s fine with me. Here are the RWGPS links for the two routes:

The ride doesn’t start until 10 am since it can be a long drive to Winters, depending on where you live. Luckily it’s not going to be that hot tomorrow so starting that late shouldn’t be a problem. The start location is the northwest corner of the parking lot next to Steady Eddy’s near the corner of Railroad Ave. and Abbey St. BTW, tomorrow is Picnic Day in Davis, but if you take I-80 to 113, you should miss most of the traffic. I usually take Russell Blvd. off of 113 to get to Winters, but Covell Blvd. off of 113 might avoid more of the traffic.
