East Sac's answer to Whitey's Jolly Kone is Cookie's Drive in, a modest take-out-only joint near CSUS that's been serving up fancy burgers and arguably the area's best, thickest shakes for 65 years. As with Whitey's, Cookie's opens at 11, so the ride leaves at 9:30. The route loops through Land Park, Downtown and East Sac before returning via Meadowview and the Pocket.
