Home2020 Party Pardee - Home - 3/12/20-Postponed

The Spring 2020 PARTY PARDEE Metric Century has been
October 24, 2020
More information about this very difficult decision
follows below:

Dear Party Pardee Participant:

As you are probably aware, California Governor Newsom has issued a public health advisory requesting events over 250 participants be canceled or postponed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Even though Party Pardee is technically beyond the date of the current health advisory, we believe that it will be extended. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution for our riders and volunteers and consistent with the Governor’s advisory, the Sacramento Bike Hikers has postponed Party Pardee until Saturday October 24, 2020.

The October 24 Party Pardee will be held as usual at Howard Park in Ione. The event will feature the same outstanding routes, rest stops, meals and entertainment as we have delivered in the past.

If you have purchased merchandise with your registration, we will hold it for you until October 24. If you are local and would like to pick up your merchandise, we will have it for pick up on Wednesday May 6 at the Carmichael Clubhouse, 5750 Grant Ave, Carmichael between 5:30-6:30 pm. Please email by April 21 if you plan to pick up your merchandise.

We understand that some of you may have other plans and will not be able to ride on October 24. While Party Pardee is a no-refund ride, we have always tried to accommodate these changes through our registration transfer program. If you would like to put your registration up for transfer, please email after June 1 to be placed on the registration transfer list. Transfers will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis starting June 1.

Event cancellations such as ours potentially create a significant negative impact on the surrounding communities. We have to the best of our ability tried to buy local and support local businesses. We trust you will understand the reasons for this postponement and, will not only ride Party Pardee with us on October 24, but show your support for Amador and Calaveras Counties by registering again for our 2021 ride that will be held April 3, 2021.

We will post this and any other updated information on our website at You can contact us at if you have any questions.

Again, the Sacramento Bike Hikers very much appreciate your understanding and we look forward to seeing you on October 24, 2020 and again on April 3, 2021.

Steven Kahn

Two Routes to enjoy

You won't be disappointed!

100K Route (65 miles)
Ride the quiet country around Ione, passing Lake Camanche and Pardee Reservoir, through quiet little towns like Buena Vista, Campo Seco, and Valley Springs. The route is a challenge for most riders, with plenty of "rollers" through the green wooded foothills in all their spring glory. Hits the sweet spot in your early training! About 3500' of climbing.

 50K Route (26 miles)
A scaled down version of the 100K with less climbing and fewer miles but just as much scenery. Still a challenge for riders looking for a shorter option. About 1200' of climbing.

 Come Join the Party!

Yes, the riding is wonderful and as challenging as you want it to be. But we offer more:  A PARTY !

From the beginning of Party Pardee in 1993, each year's event has a distinct festive theme. The banquet hall, the rest stops, and even the very enthusiastic and helpful v
olunteers are adorned accordingly. Party Pardee is the most fun cycling event around!

In 2020 we celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the
   Roaring 20's!

Doll and Gangsters
Starter breakfast before the ride
Catch a little of the 20's vibe as you fuel-up with  goodies and coffee (donated by Coffee Works), served by flappers, guys, dolls and fellas. Watch out for the goons and grifters. Obey the bulls, and you'll be the bee's knees! Ya follow?

Delicious Post-Ride Lunch

Amador Catering serves tri-tip, chicken or a vegetarian option, four salads, and dessert. Wet your palate with a variety of beverages, including non-Prohibition beer and wine (no-host). Swell!

Live Music

Listen and dance to the sounds of Island of Black and White, known for their high energy fusion of rock, funk, blues, folk and reggae.
