The short route is 32 miles with 1,100 ft climbing (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37763876). The intermediate route is 35 miles with ~1200 ft climbing (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37763887). Yes it is Teddy Roosevelt's birthday today so lets celebrate with a ride to Newcastle Produce. We will start at the Folsom Village Shopping Center at 9AM. Note the route goes by the Flower Farm on the way back if you are still hungry.
Here is the route from the club library. *Newcastle Produce-2A (flat)
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29261996
It is 41 miles long and tries it best to stay away from busy roads. It is rated as a "B" ride only because of the long climb into Newcastle. The route does have 1800 feet of climbing overall in keeping with TR's belief in the The Strenuous Life.

Same old question - to do Park Dr or not to do Park Dr? We'll circle out toward Rocklin and you can make up your mind along the way. If you have your stats from January 2020, how will they compare?

This was the first ride cancelled due to Covid and then again due to 110 temperature when the calendar opened. Hoping the third time try will be a go.

Route will be posted a week or so before.

This ride goes from Winters to Vacaville through the English Hills. Last spring I revised the beginning so that we might see some almond trees in blossom. Turns out it was a nicer way to get to Allendale Rd than along Winters Rd. However, it added a few miles so now the short route which stays on the rollers in the English Hills is 36 miles with 1060 ft climbing (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37667392). The long route is now 44 miles with 2200 ft climbing (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37667396). The routes are the same except for climbs up the east and west sides of Cantelow Rd. The rest stop is at Pure Grain Bakery is downtown Vacaville.
