This ride includes two parts - a swept 22+ mile course that includes hilly Folsom trails and roads, and a non-swept optional 6 mile circle from La Bou to the fish hatchery. Riders are invited to start the 6 mile loop at 8:00 am, or after completion of the 22 mile loop. The sign in sheet will be available at the ride leaders car, but the ride leader may not return from riding the fish hatchery loop until 8:45 am. The ride leader will start the 22+ mile loop at 9:00 am sharp. All riders are expected to finish the 22 mile loop by 11:15 am and the ride leader will sweep at an appropriate pace to accomplish this. We will be doing an August trip to Coffee Republic for some flavored ice tea and goodies if you so choose. The long route we will take is 43 miles and includes some uphill climbs after our stop at the coffee shop. For those folks that are not up for some hills and challenges, there is a shorter, no climb version of 34 miles that will not be swepted. Bring a partner if you choose this option.

This is a variation of the short and intermediate routes from my Penryn ride except that the rest stop is now at the Newcastle Produce. The only difference between the short and long routes is the long does some extra miles climbing up Sierra College and English Colony before going on to Newcastle. The return is the same for both routes. The short or long route will be swept depending on how hot it gets.

Come join us in Marin for a beautiful fall ride. Two ride distance options to choose from, 55 or 75 miles, with several bakeries for refreshment along the way. Everyone will meet at the same place and those wishing to do 55 miles will drive to another starting point after we hand out the route sheets. Please use mapquest to determine your travel time and best route. There is a parking lot and plenty of street parking. It is best to park on the street.

We will be going to Country Waffle for breakfast. I will provide a short route of 26 miles but I will sweep the longer route and there is no ride leader for the short route so please find a buddy with whom to ride.
The longer route is 35 miles with 1458 ft of climbing. I modified the route a bit and we will be on some familiar and some unfamiliar streets.
There will be an option of a 30 mile route by following the long route out and the short back!

The route for this ride will take us down river through Old Sacramento, the Pocket Area and Freeport where we will cross the river before continuing on the Clarksburg. In Clarksburg we‘ll stop for lunch at the Husick‘s BBQ Proper and Tap House before returning to the start. Because this is a lunch ride it has a start time of 10:00 AM.

Something a bit different on this Tuesday Evening ride. We will be riding trails and un-paved roads along with the usual paved surfaces. Bring your Gravel, Cyclocross, Mountain, or Hybrid Bike for this adventure...anything with a 32mm or wider tire will be fine. We will ride either what use to be the South River Road (elevated levee) and/or along side the ship channel. Nothing requiring great Mountain Biking skills...just regular cycling skills. If you need a bike to borrow let me know...I have several to lend out. Lights still recommended front and rear. We usually go out to dinner afterwards.
