From Lucille‘s in Folsom we will do two loops. The first heads up to Granite Bay and then loops back on Barton to Lucille‘s. The seconds loop heads to El Dorado Hills for some adventure (read that as it is currently being revised with new roads) before returning to Folsom and a little bit of the Johnny Cash trail then the Oak Parkway Trail. I will sweep the first route, get a bite at Lucille‘s and then do the second loop. Oh! there will be a long and short version of second loop.

These are three routes to the Newcastle Produce, two of which are the same distance, but the intermediate is less hilly. The short route takes a more direct route to Penryn turning on Swetzer Rd. off of King Rd. The intermediate and long route do the climbs on Sierra College Blvd. and Delmar Ave. with the intermediate route staying on the rollers while the long route does the climbs on Sierra College Blvd. and English Colony Way. All three routes are the same from Penryn to Newcastle and back to the start. The total climbing on the short, intermediate and long routes are 1700, 1800 and 2200 ft. respectively.

Both rides go up Green Valley to Malcolm-Dixon and then Deer Valley. Short ride turns at Starbuck Rd to get over to Cameron Park for a rest stop at Team Cycle Cafe. Long route continues to climb up to Rescue and Shingle Springs via Ponderosa Rd. returning to the Team Cycle Cafe in Cameron Park via Durock Rd and the gated community of Cameron Estates. Both return routes are the same climbing Hollow Oak Dr. to El Dorado Hills and then another small climb on Brittany Way. The short and long routes have about 2,800 and 3,700 ft climbing total, respectively.
