An easy 36 mile counterclockwise route developed over 25 years ago! Yep. No ride with GPS or any of that hi tech stuff. I stopped and called out the road, turns and mileage, Carol-Jean wrote it down. Then at home she developed a cute (paper of course) route sheet. So come out and relive the past for a moment. Dennys for coffee, or just head back. There‘s a new coffee shop just behind Dennys also, which might be better. Doug Souvignier, 916-607-6146, drsouvignier@gmail.com

Today we‘ll be heading out to Country Waffles on Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights.

I‘ll be sweeping the long route:
34.9 *Country Waffle Sunrise-3A (with Winding Way bridge detour)

A Leisure route is also offered but will be unswept unless someone volunteers:
25.6 *Country Waffle Sunrise-1A
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/20788045.

On the long route, most of the original Winding Way stretch is utilized because the bridge is fairly close to Winding Way‘s junction with Fair Oaks Blvd; and the detour adds just one extra mile via scenic Chicago Ave., Sunset Ave., and back to Fair Oaks Blvd.

There‘s a 20% chance of rain though, per this morning‘s (Monday) forecast, so keep your fingers crossed!
